One spoiled wife.

Well.. it has been quite the week!  Let's just say after moving out of a third floor apartment I never want to see a staircase again in my life!  This last week we made our big move to Fort Worth.  It was exhausting and I was nervous to be in charge of it all myself while Josh was away working but thankfully I got everything packed, organized the crew, and all went well.  We LOVE our new place.  I never want to move again.  Being so close to Josh's work is the best.  He comes home for lunch and it takes him less than five minutes to commute - talk about perfect!  We even have our own little mini front yard for Skamp which he loves.  He literally will sit by the front door and whine until you let him out [which is making potty training little difficult!] but he is just too cute.

I'll post pictures of our new place a little later once I actually have a chance to unpack everything!  Right now it just looks like mountains and mountains of boxes!  We moved in on Thursday afternoon so I haven't had much time!  We spent Thursday night grocery shopping at the Korean market [my new favorite place, who knew?!] and you can see from our cart we went a little crazy stocking up!

Other than stocking up on groceries we have spent our new found time in the evenings [if you remember during the summer Josh would get home at 10 p.m. at the earliest, we never had time in the evenings] furniture shopping.  Just window shopping at this point trying to decide what we would like for our home.  It's been a lot of fun!

My design business is coming along slowly but surely.  I just finished up a wedding and here's another sneak peak at the dinner menu/programs they turned out amazing!  I love getting shipments in the mail it's like Christmas! So fun!

This weekend I have been spoiled rotten by my sweet husband!  He planned an entire weekend stay-cation for us all on his own and it was a blast.  You realize how well someone knows you when they plan an entire weekend for you!

Friday after work we dropped Skamp off at the doggy daycare [I had a hard time saying goodbye!!] and headed to the Garylord Texan hotel.  This place is a little mini paradise in Grapevine Texas.  Here is out beautiful room:

If you've ever been to one of the Gaylord hotels you know they have a beautiful atrium full of plant and animal life.  The Dallas one is made to look like the River Walk and we had dinner on the River Walk for our first night here.

mini San Antonio

The river walk!

Couple of love birds here.

So grateful for this guy.
It was so fun!  Beautiful scenery, the world's best company, and delicious food.  All of my favorite things!  After dinner we walked all around the River Walk checking out all the fun there is to see around the hotel.

Giant cookies here at the Gaylord!

Love the Texas atmosphere.

Finally we topped the night off with fireworks!  We went up to the parking garage to watch them and it was packed [for all of you who went to college in Provo recently I felt like I was at a typical provo party in a parking garage ha!].  Best friday night in a long long time.

Saturday was our first real saturday together in months and it was incredible.  We slept in and had breakfast in bed.  Each day Josh had a special note telling me about what would happen that day and today started out with a trip to Paradise Springs water park.  I can't tell you the last time I went to a water park.  It was SO fun!

After a few hours at the park Josh gave me another note telling me it was time for a spa day!  Heavenly!  We went away to the "couples escape" complete with salt scrub, massage and facial.  A husband who plans a spa day sure is a good sport!  And I think he had a little more fun than he thought he would, even with the facial (;

sorry for the blur!
My next note told me we were headed shopping and to dinner at Rainforest cafe!  Exactly the kind of evening I love!  We headed back to grapevine mills and let me tell you, I have never seen a mall so crowded before in my entire life!  Lots of fun (:

Josh's dream meal.

We came home late for a night of movie watching in our hotel room that went by far too quickly.  Why must vacations end so fast?

Sunday came around and after a good long morning sleeping in we headed to church and finally to pick up our pup!

there's nothing like a greeting from a puppy who missed you!

It was an incredible weekend and I felt so loved from all of Josh's thoughtfulness he is one great guy and I am lucky to call him mine.  Sometimes being here in Texas away from everything we know gets tough but than I remember who I get to be here with and feel so blessed.  He's a one of a kind guy.  And on a brighter note.. we will be coming home for Labor day weekend next week! Can't wait! (:  Here are some new designs I have done recently it's been a blast.  A shout out the to the Hales family and the Smedley's for the incredible pictures:

Changes to come..

Well it's official!  Josh will start working for American Airlines come tomorrow morning!  It's funny how change [even when it's hopefully for the better] is scary!  This week will be jammed pack with moving and starting new jobs.  We're excited, nervous, anxious, everything you could think of really. We'll be sure to keep you posted on all the new to come!

This last week was a lot of fun.  A good one to end on!  Many of the girls I'm friends with in the ward are moving so we had a big girls night at Texas roadhouse and some shopping!  We went to a place I've never been to before called the Container Store.  Oh my heavens... for all you organization crazies out there like me this place is amazing!! Such cute and functional storage ideas for your home or office.  It's incredible.

Josh and I were able to get together for lunch several times this week which made the time fly by.  We went out for Taco Tuesday at Rosa's and the other days took our little Skamp with us for picnics.  So fun (: I was able to meet Josh for lunch every day this week.  Spoiled!

We LOVE this place.  We may or may not have had taco
tuesday for dinner as well (:

My boys (:

Skamp the explorer.
Skamp gets SO excited whenever he sees Josh coming home from work or just even being able to sit with him since he doesn't see him very much and I have gotten some adorable moments of these two boys on film to share.

Skamp helping dad on his computer

Skamp staring out he window like he does every day when Josh leaves
then he runs to the front door hoping he is coming back.  Its's precious.

Anyways other than lunches and taking care of Skamp I spent most of my week working on and growing my design business.  I just finished up one of my first orders of wedding invitations/inserts.  It was SO fun.  I just love every minute of what I do and feel so blessed for the business I have received.  I've been working on a few birthday party invites this week as well.  They have all turned out beautifully!  Please spread the word if you know anyone in need of invitations/announcements especially with the holidays coming up!

this is the only sneak peak you get for now!

Saturday night we celebrated beginning our new adventure at American with a surprise "one in a minion" treat box for Josh, dinner, and furniture window shopping!

you're one in a minion.
my handsome dinner date.

So we wake up Sunday morning for church and it is just pouring rain.  You have no idea, it was SHEETS of rain nonstop!  Finally we couldn't wait any longer, we just had to sprint through it to get to the car.  Sweet Josh ventured out with his umbrella and pants rolled up to get the car for me.  We both got drenched!  Excited for our next apartment to have a garage!  When it rains in Texas they sure don't joke around!

It's been a fun week and although I am nervous for change to come it will be a lot of fun.  Stay posted! (:

Gratitude.

Drum Roll please!! BIG news!!!

Josh reached 400 sales!!  AKA his end of summer goal and it's not even the end of the summer yet.  I am SO proud of him!! He works so hard every single day from sun up to sun down [literally].  I am grateful for this guy who is so selfless and hardworking.  He pushed himself really hard and had an incredible week.  He even was in a competition against the number one seller in the company [in the top "elite 8" of all Alterra] and won an xbox one!  My amazing guy. (:

We had another busy busy week both working and me packing as well.  This week I am feeling very grateful!  One thing that has really surprised me about Josh this summer [in a good way!] is how he still takes the time to be thoughtful for his wife.  For those of you who don't know I work at home and this week Josh brought me the most beautiful flowers to spruce up my little office.  He doesn't know how much it brightens my day (:

So beautiful!  Sorry the picture is a little dark!

Josh soiled me even more this week.  I have been working really hard on a few projects and one night josh brought me home a "good job" snow cone (:

Anyways this week flew by with my extremely long to do list!  I can't believe we move in just about ten days.  I won't miss the neighborhood we live in too much but will certainly miss our ward!  I have felt so blessed this summer to be in a ward that I truly loved, it really helped with the transition moving to Texas and I have made so many dear friends.  We love our little primary class and I had fun making them some cupcakes with candles to help them remember to let their light shine from our lesson in Matthew 5:

14. "Ye are the light of the world.  A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid."
15. "Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house."
16. "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."

I LOVE primary.  I think it's the best job in the whole church and we feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to teach our sweet kids these last 2 months.

On Saturday after making cupcakes & a little work, we went out to dinner with the team [dicky's of course. the boys' favorite], shopped at target [tax free day in TX!], and had a wonderful date night at the temple (:

Well my post wouldn't be nearly as cute without throwing in at least one adorable picture of Skamp from the last so here he is:

unquestionably the world's most adorable puppy.

The Hadley House!

Well guess what friends?!  Only 7 more days of pest control.  Yep, 7!  I can do 7!  I can't believe we are almost finished.  We have been so blessed with Josh's success this summer and I am so incredibly grateful for his hard work and determination.  I am one lucky girl!

It was a slow week at the Hadley house [lots of work, not as much play!] so I apologize in advance for a short post.  Our biggest new, Skamp graduated from puppy preschool!  So proud of my little guy [the cap and certificate were not my idea thank you very much.].

That was a fun day (:  In other fantastic news for Skamp he got to take off his cone on Wednesday after 14 long days with it on.  He was such a good sport!

Sorry for the puppy overload, it's not my fault he is so extremely photogenic and cute 24/7!  On Saturday Josh and I met with a realtor and then went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner.  I have some extremely disappointing news... the rolls at Texas road house in Texas are not nearly as good.  Seriously so sad.  I don't know about you, but the rolls are 90% of why I go.  The meat was good, it always is but the rolls were a failure.

): so sad.

what a babe (;

Saturdays are THE BEST!
That's really all to tell this week.  We have been SO busy working, packing & cleaning [getting ready to move yay!] and doing summer sales.  So grateful for my little Skamp to keep me company while Josh is away!

August visiting teaching

Can't believe it's already August [Where has the summer gone?!].  August has a wonderful message about Christ being our Messiah.  I just love love love this message!  Christ is our brother.  He is our advocate as we taught last month.  One thing I love about the gospel is how personal it is.  Our Savior is personal.  We are important to Him.  He numbers his sheep and knows when one is missing.  Pour your heart out the our Savior and I know you will grow closer to Him.  He's just waiting for you to reach out.

Here is a link to the message on Lds.org:

10 most inspirational talks of all time ♡

So I've seen posts like this a lot on Pinterest lately and have really enjoyed reading talks others have suggested they always add to my scripture study.  I love love love conference talks they always give me the added strength I need.  I thought I would pay it forward and add my own ten favorite talks.  They're in no particular order, I like them all too much to rate them in order!  Hope you enjoy (:

A talk reminding us to always find the silver lining.  Even if we cannot see it, God.  He knows your fears and hears your prayers.  One of my absolute favorite quotes of all time:

An eye opening talk.  You may think you know what it means to prideful but this talk helps you see being prideful is more than you think.  Very humbling words.
